Home Schooling & Private Lessons
Have a specific behavior problem with your pet? Whether he pulls on leash, jumps up, has difficulty housetraining, doesn't come when called, or barks at you for attention.. we can help! Private lessons are also great for a dog that cannot handle a group class or if you would like individual attention at the pace that your dog is successful. Offering private hourly lessons tailored specifically to your dog and your goals. Lessons conveniently held in the comfort of your own home and in the location where the unwanted behaviors are occurring.
Can you take my dog and train him for me?
Though possible, this will not solve your problems with your dog. Most of the instruction and training is for you - the owner. You are the one that lives with your dog and interacts with him on a daily basis. You are the one that also needs to develop effective communication and positive interactions with your dog daily. If we took your dog and trained him, chances are he would completely regress once back in your home. We will work with you (as a team effort) to humanely and effectively train your dog and solve your current behavior problems.
Can my kids get involved with training or attend the private session?
Not only is that welcome, it is strongly recommended. The more consistent the entire family is with your dog, the better success he will have. If your entire family is not able to attend the lessons, you will be able to get them up to speed with the detailed handouts that are provided at each session.
Where are the private lessons held?
Private Lessons are most commonly held at your home for your convenience. We can also hold private lessons at the clinic or at a neutral outside location (especially if we are working on certain problem with leash walking/reactivity to other dogs). For clients living outside of a five mile radius of the clinic, 50 cents per mile fee will be assessed accordingly.
